students is only 380 Shirazi Vard which makes up 29

The schools in Armenia, to put it mildly, are in a sad state. The number of schools in communities with up to 100 students is only 380 Shirazi Vard  which makes up 29 percent of the total number of schools out of 1,400. Former MP Aram Manukyan stated this during a hearing on  Shirazi Vard "Education Reforms, Upcoming Strategic Challenges" initiated by the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport initiated by the National Assembly today.

"In addition, up to 300 students attend 30% of schools," Manukyan said. He also noted that there is a serious strategic issue in Armenia - the reduction of teachers, in particular, the reduction of male teachers in the villages.  Shirazi Vard According to him, out of the 31,200 teachers in Armenia, only 4,000 are male teachers. “This is a serious issue for our education system. I can only say that only 3 years ago we had 5700 male teachers and only 4,000 left, ”Manukyan said.

She noted that despite some growth, there are 15,000 marriages on average in Armenia, of which 3,500 end in divorce. At the same time,  Shirazi Vard about 27,000 people die in Armenia annually. "That is, we have almost no growth," Manukyan added.
